Privacy policy
This policy applies to the internal Build A version of MediTalk distributed through Apple TestFlight by Conatus Labs Inc.
What Build A does
MediTalk Build A demonstrates sign-in, language selection, patient-notice, simulated translation, local transcript, usage-meter, permission, and lifecycle workflows. The Apple and Google accounts and translated phrases shown in this build are simulated.
Information stored on the device
The app stores simulated account state, selected languages, notice-status events, synthetic transcript text, reminder preferences, and simulated usage events locally on the tester's device. This prototype state remains until the tester deletes it in the app, deletes the app, or clears the app's local data.
Build A local state is prototype storage and is not approved for patient information. A later functional build must replace it with reviewed encrypted storage before any patient-like testing is authorized.
Information MediTalk does not collect in Build A
- No microphone audio is captured, recorded, or sent.
- No real translation provider is contacted.
- No transcript or audio content is stored on MediTalk servers.
- No advertising, content analytics, or model-training data is collected.
- No payment or subscription transaction is performed.
Permissions
Build A may request microphone and notification permission solely to test iOS permission and recovery workflows. Granting microphone permission does not cause this build to record audio. Notification permission is not currently used to send transcript reminders.
Apple TestFlight
Apple may process installation, device, crash, diagnostic, and tester-feedback information through TestFlight under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Testers must not attach screenshots or feedback containing patient information.
Retention and deletion
Local synthetic transcripts can be deleted individually or together from MediTalk Settings. Deleting the app removes its local prototype data subject to ordinary iOS device and backup behavior. Conatus Labs does not receive a copy of that local content in Build A.
Children and patients
Build A is not directed to children or patients. It is limited to authorized internal engineering testers using synthetic content.
Changes before functional testing
This policy will be revised before a build enables real authentication, microphone capture, translation-provider processing, authoritative usage metering, or patient-like testing. Availability in TestFlight does not authorize clinical use.
